Headache is not brain pain. A brain problem can cause pain, but the brain itself does not feel pain. The brain records pain from all parts of the body, but lacks sensory nerves that can detect and transmit it.
There are sensory nerves in and around various tissues, blood vessels and membranes of the head. The headache we usually say refers to the pain in the upper half of the head, that is, from the eyebrow to the lower part of the posterior brain. The sensation of headache is varied, which can be drilling pain, dull pain, distending pain, jumping pain, acupuncture-like pain, knife cutting-like pain, burst-like pain, tight hoop-like pain and so on. In short, headache is a signal. Many diseases can cause headache, so it can be regarded as a signal of other diseases.
This signal may be a benign signal, such as overthinking headaches, work fatigue headaches, cold headaches, it reminds people to rest properly ; it may also be a precursor to some serious diseases, such as brain tumors, cerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, meningitis, etc.
